#46 Into Time

The day started ordinarily enough; alarm, shower, bit of breakfast, into work for half eight. Then it got interesting. All the clocks ground to a halt before beginning to go backwards. They went faster and faster until the hands were a blur and the computer monitors blacked out with the effort of it all. The next thing I knew, there were no clocks. There was no anything. The computers, the building and everyone in it had disappeared. I was alone in an empty field.

At least, I thought I was.

Suddenly, a screaming, nearly naked man, was running towards me holding an axe. I ran. I couldn’t understand what he was saying but I think I got the gist. And then, quick as it all began, I was back in the office. The clocks ticked over a little fast for a few seconds and then settled back into time.
